Bruce L. Saltz, M.D. is Board Certified in both Adult and Geriatric Psychiatry.  After having served on the Faculty at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, he came to south Florida and became an Affiliate Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Biomedical Science at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine/ FAU.   

 

Dr. Saltz earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Duke University and his Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He did an Internship in Internal Medicine at the George Washington University and his Psychiatry Residency at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York.  Dr. Saltz is active in the fields of clinical psychiatry and psychopharmacology, and his research has been funded by the extramural program at the National Institutes of Mental Health and University of North Carolina, the National Institute of Aging, and the Pharmaceutical Industry.

 

He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, and on the Program Committee of the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology.
